When your account balance stops talking but your faith still listens, that’s when the real test begins.

You know those moments when your phone rings and you pray it’s a credit alert, but it’s just your network provider reminding you that “you have unused data”?

At that moment, I was vexed.

That’s when you know money clicked the mute button 

For a while, I kept wondering if my account balance had gone into witness protection for real. It was hiding so well, I almost started calling EFCC to help me find it. 😅

But jokes aside, there are seasons when it feels like money just stops speaking your language.

You work, pray, plan, and still, nothing seems to shift.

You refresh your bank app more than your social media, hoping something miraculous appears. But all you see is that same heartbreaking ₦307.34 available balance.

The Quiet Between Effort and Reward

In those silent seasons, it’s easy to feel like God isn’t listening.

You start thinking, “Lord, I’m not asking for a private jet, just transport fare and maybe burger and chips money.”

But here’s something I’ve learned about faith and finances:

Money’s silence doesn’t always mean absence. Sometimes, it’s preparation.

When God seems quiet in your finances, He might be teaching you discipline, trust, or creativity. You start learning how to manage little, how to stretch what you have, and how to recognize provision in unexpected places.

Because the truth is, money isn’t the only form of wealth.

Peace, ideas, and favor are also currencies,  and they often show up before the cash does.

Finding Peace in the Pause

One evening, I checked my account (again) and sighed loudly.

But instead of complaining, I whispered, “God, even in the silence, I know you're working.”

That night, a friend randomly sent me money “just to check on me.”

A little token, but it reminded me that I wasn’t forgotten.

Sometimes, the silence is just a setup,  a pause before a testimony.

So if your money seems quiet right now, don’t panic. Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep creating.

Because the same God who fed Elijah through ravens can still send “alerts” through unexpected sources.

And when the sound finally comes, it’ll be loud enough to make you dance. 💃🏽
