I MISS HIM

There are seasons when you realize you’ve been showing up in church but not really showing up in His presence.

You lift your hands, you sing, you dance good, yet HE whispers, “It’s been a while.”

Not a while since you served.

Not a while since you worshiped publicly.

But a while since you were alone with Him.

This isn’t guilt. It’s longing!

The kind that reminds you that your soul knows where home is.

HIM

I lift my hands every Sunday.

I sing, I dance, and I know He smiles, because He loves it when His beloved worships.

But lately, I’ve realized something.

I miss Him.

Not the Sunday version of Him I sing and dance about in church.

Not the sermons or the programs.

Just Him, My Adonai, the One who used to meet me in quiet mornings before the world got noisy.

I miss sitting quietly and just talking to Him after a long day.

I miss the way my heart would slow down when I prayed without an agenda, just checking up on Him.

I miss feeling His presence in the little moments,

in my room, in my thoughts, in my tears.

My worship has been public, but my heart has been distant.

My schedule is full of activities, but my soul feels hungry.

Because real intimacy with God doesn’t grow under stage lights, or how I frequent the church, it grows in silence, in stillness, in truth.

While I’ve been showing up on Sundays,

I forgot how to show up on Mondays.

And every other day in between.

I miss Him.

Not just His blessings or His voice.

I miss His company. Do you?

Spiritual Reflection

Maybe you’ve felt this too.

You love God, but lately, you’ve been moving too fast.

You’ve been doing all the right things like I did but, just not the real thing.

It’s okay to pause.

To whisper, “Jesus, I miss You.”

Because that’s where closeness begins again.

Sometimes, the most powerful worship isn’t the loudest,

it’s the moment your heart finally gets quiet enough to say,

“I’ve missed You Lord.”

So take that walk.

Open your Bible again.

Don’t rush it.

Just sit.

You don’t have to perform for Him.

Just sit still with Him.

SAY THIS PRAYER

Jesus, I’ve been busy doing things for You,

but I’ve missed being with You.

Draw me close again.

Let me hear Your voice in the quiet.

Remind me how beautiful it feels to simply sit with You.

Amen.
